Hard to open (have to ask my husband to help), but they are the right size to hold a stack of paper together for glueing with bookbinding glue to make homemade pads, etc. These are perfectly good clips, and I appreciate the support for breast cancer awareness, but they are not LARGE clips. They are MEDIUM clips. I gave them five stars because they are good, sturdy clips (and I can always use binder clips) but if you're looking for LARGE clips as I was, look elsewhere.as advertised. acceptable binder clips in a nice color.A+love pinkI always get the emails asking to review and I'm to review this one because it's bad.The product itself, quality sure it's fine but the description is very off. I want to say staples call this size a medium and I think it is medium but it looks like large is the more general term. That's fine, but tell me it's 1.25 inches wide and I know it's NOT the one I'm looking for and that it's too small for what I need. I can go into detail but basically their products dimensions must refer to the box, because it's nowhere near the dimensions of the clip, this is the standard medium (IMO) or large that you see most commonly but they tell you its 1.25 wide and that mean the part if while it's NOT in use, and you set it down, stand it up on it's own, and measure along the long part, one side to the other, that's the 1.25, and I'm looking for the bigger one but I was just led to believe this was larger I should have known it's couldn't have been as big as the 8 by 4 by .2 which again is a mistake because that refers to nothing relevant.Excuse my long review, my apologies but this is poorly written, IMO possibly to get you to buy a size that you don't need or already have, both in my case, and by being ambiguous people get drawn to the fancy color more than understanding if it's the correct size, so if "size matters" (no pun intended, okay it was) than make sure you need the 1.25 wide which is referred to as large sometimes and sometimes as medium I've found both to be true, what we need is a code like the way staples have, if there's a code I don't see it.I'm providing evidence I'm editing this again because I just put these links up and it's not part of review so I'm doing again, and it will go through because it's the truth and you guys deserve to know. Acco is contradicting themselves, they have two different sizes listed as large, one of them is what I consider large.Actual large clips, different brand:
